Idealism plays a very large part in the philosophical thought of today’s Western world. Idealism bases itself on the premise that ideas are most important in life and that people should focus their thoughts on ideas, which are perfect. This article explores how idealism has impacted education and how today's education reveals idealistic tendencies.
